I seem to be one of a few women giving comments to recommend the first book in the series, but I have enjoyed this reading. I have been a Syfy reader for many years as I am now 83 years old. I must say this book has kept me entertained, I am looking forward to the next in this series.

Hello Michael ,was a little confused with the geography when placing chancery lane and holborn in manchester but if it works then who am I to complain. Great read, new twist on an ld story .Loved it. Have a question .How do you keep up with all your characters and their different storylines even when they overlap? Kevin W
Michael ForbesFeb 17, 2025
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Kevin. A little artistic license on the street names. Not trying to match reality 100% :)
To answer your question - for whatever series I'm currently writing, I have it almost all in my head. It helps that I end up reading the book twice after writing it during the editing process. But I do still need to refer back from time to time.
For things like the Forgotten Universe - I have to go back and re-read endings a lot to refresh my memory. And then sometimes hunt for details of characters or locations, etc. because I remember them vaguely but not specifically enough to wrie about them without a refresher. Prep for those does take a bit more time.
